You can put a small amount of your own food and drinks in the refrigerator next to the dishwasher, as long as they have a label added to them displaying a name and Best Before date. The refrigerator is small, so use it only for temporary storage. In kindness to other members, please remember to remove your items after the Best Before date and before it becomes a science project. Spoiled items will be discarded without mercy. A full refrigerator clean-out happens after each monthly community meeting and all personal items are discarded.
You can buy some drinks and maybe other products in the fridge. The prices are on the door.
Soda storage works like other more valuable consumer goods in the Lab. If you find that the soda runs out of the fridge, you are free to get more. Expenses will be reimbursed against a designated receipt by billing the association. Electronic delivery of the receipt is prefered, such as a pdf sent by email. Remember to put your name on the receipt.
Drinks are paid by adding coins to the wooden cash box on the shelf, by card with the small white SumUp payment terminal, or by deducting from your prepaid tally.
Only beverages and food are stored in the refrigerator!
To reduce the use of coins, you can pay for drinks in advance. The refrigerator contains a list of names and prepaid amounts. Purchased drinks (in euro) are entered yourself by deducting from your prepaid tally.
At community meetings, we have decided that drinks should always be paid in advance – not after drinking.
For washing dishes according to kitchen etiquette, the dishwasher is a useful tool. However, washing individual dishes with a dishwasher is not ecological, and in no way sensible. The dishwasher should be used sensibly.
Check if there are clean dishes in the dishwasher
The kitchen equipment is connected to a timer. If the kitchen appliances do not work, press the button on the kitchen wall to start the time of half an hour.
